    Default fishfinder under 500

Garmin Striker 7sv or HELIX 5 CHIRP SI GPS G2

I like fishing skinny water for reds and also searching deep pockets and brush, so side view is a must, live in coastal area and lakemaster cards from what i seen dont really cover the area. So is there really a diffrence between the two minus the screen and the card slot?

The whole chirp and down view sounds identical to the simpleton i am and just proprietary, unless I'm missing something?

In a jon boat with nothing fancy to talk to or a bow transducer marking my "spots" is a must also if I am missing a good unit please let me know.

    Thanks for the help.

I would go for the bigger screen. Get the Garmin.

Screen size don't go less than a 7" screen.

The local Cabelas bargain cave has literal stacks of last year's fish finders. Idk if there is one close to you, but it would be work a look if there is one nearby.
