Default Different trolling motor other than MK and motor guide?

I remember some time ago some body was talking about this different motor. It had spot lock and remote control. What was the name of them ?

Try Haswing. My nephew has a 55 lb thrust, with a wireless remote but I don't think his has the spot lock. He likes his and it was alot cheaper than a MG or MK.

Some Chinese junk is not junk. Quality control seems to be the big issue but most minor flaws can be fixed if you arer patient. For me being retired means money is more valuable than time. I have a 12lb thrust Chinese trolling motor but the clamps are sure to break at some point but I will fix it when it is an issue. Other than the clamps it seems efficient and reliable. It also happened to be cheaper than U.S. brands but in this case that is not why I bought it. I bought it because U.S. brands don't address the market for tiny trolling motors. I would not argue with you get what you pay for but if you know what you are paying for you may not need the "best".

The Rhodan. It was introduced in the salt water market first. Supposed to be very accurate spot lock. Has 2 GPS receivers to control it. A couple of members purchased them and gave a couple of reports. Seemed they were pretty satisfied with them. Just don't remember anything on pricing. I'm sure you could look em up on the net.

The Rhodan is not really that much cheaper and now that the MK has improved their spotlock not sure that is the reason to go with a less proven motor. On the other hand though the Rhodan has move thrust and less battery drain. I looked into them a couple of years ago and even talked to the owner, seemed like a great guy and they are really using what they learn in the saltwater application to build a great motor.
I've got the newest model 112 Ulterra and am very happy, is it perfect? No but none are, the spotlock works pretty fair but I don't use it other than unloading. I also have the Link and the follow the contour mode is handy unless you have some crazy contours. Used it a bunch this time of the year while fishing alone..
