I hope they do something about improving the Lakes in Louisiana. There is not enough coverage for me to Buy for my Depth finder

You could be right, Rickie .... I thought HB already owned Navionics (& Lakemaster) ... or at least they're the ones compatible with HB units. Hot Spots is compatible with Lowrance, but not HB. I think that's right, anyway.

Hate to see this as when Garmin acquired Delorme gps they have never upgraded the mapping program of which was considered way better than any other hand held maps and gps hands down. Not as user friendly with a higher learning curve as a Garmin but way better until now that Garmin has it. As far as I am concerned Garmin has ruined Delorme and you get no more emails on upgrades to software or maps anymore either about Delorme. Just have to wait and see if the same thing happens to Navionics of which I hope not but I don’t see anything good about this.

Hmmm..knowing how Garmin has done their mapping lately, shutting out competitors, begs the question....soon to be incompatible with anything other than Garmin?

    The press release says ...:

"Going forward, we plan to retain the Navionics brand and will continue to support Navionics’ existing customers.”
    -----

    But then also includes ...:

    Notice on Forward-Looking Statements:

"This release includes forward-looking statements regarding Garmin Ltd. and its business. Such statements are based on management’s current expectations. The forward-looking events and circumstances discussed in this release may not occur and actual results could differ materially as a result of known and unknown risk factors and uncertainties affecting Garmin"
