nothing on DownImaging

i have a helix 7 gen 1 transom mounted. the DI shows no structure, just the bottom. I dont quite understand what could be causing this problem. any ideas? Thanks

Not sure how that's possible .... if it's showing bottom, and there's something ON the bottom, then it would show it very plainly. Maybe there's just not anything down there that your DI ping is running over

I'm lost too, I'm on truman lake in Missouri. i am positive there is something down there occasionally. stumps and trees everywhere

Have you tried going back to factory default.

Is this the HELIX 7 DI with a dedicated DI piezo ... or the HELIX 7 SI that has no dedicated DI piezo and gets DI data from the side imaging piezoes ...??

Core series HB SI units do not have a dedicated DI piezo in the SI xducer to collect DI Sonar data from directly under the boat ... (MEGA, ONIX, and SOLIX do) ...

The data collected from the side pointing SI piezoes is computer generated into a format that looks like a DI image ...

There still should be some things in the DI image ...

It may help to mark a good brushpile or stake bed with buoy markers and scan repeatedly with different settings to see what the changes do ...
