Default Helix 9 wont find my Navionic Hotmaps East card

Bought this card used and put in my Helix 9 which as I understand is supposed to automatically recognize card is there and come up in charts/view. Well nothing happens when inserted but if installed in my Lowrance HD7 touch it comes up no problems, any ideas anyone?

Are the Chart views available in the view rotation when inserting the Navionics card ...??

Will the unit recognize the Navionics card when the unit is in Simulator ...??

I was thinking about splurging and getting a new helix mega DI when they come out and other nite was thinking, will my navionics map card enter change with Lowrance units it is already used on, and been reading, if it's used in a helix 9 first, and a setting in the helix hasn't been set to read MAPS it would corrupt the card to not read in a lowrance unit or switched back and forth. Also found similar reads googling other fishing forums, same problems with commenters calling hummingbird and both lowrance and their final comments were, it's a Navionics thing, to sell more map cards. I am just posting these comments as I am still reading before I take the plunge and get another Unit and invest in a new Helix mega DI when, they come out as Lakemaster doesn't have a couple of lakes I fish here in Indiana and still would like to be able to swap the card in and out of my Lowrance SI and a new Hummingbird DI as well. Hope you, figure it out and I will keep reading about swapping cards, but it's maybe a thing where if first used in a hummingbird, then it won't read in a lowrance. Does anybody out there, change a navionics card between hummingbird and lowrance fishfinders without any problems?

Then again, I,read where both diff. Fishfinders will read a Navionics card. Here is some instructions from Navionics for Hummingbird card use.

I chatted with Navionics, and Navionics updated map card is swappable between my HD SI touch 7"and a Helix Mega 9 so I will wait to see when HB comes out with their Mega DI units this fall.

Chart views not being available means the unit is operating in Normal mode but the GPS has not connected to the satellites ...

Allow the unit to fully boot with an open view of the sky ... and wait for the Chart Views to populate in the Views tab - or the Chart and Nav tabs to appear in the Main Menu System ...

Then try the Navionics card ...

    -----

Or boot the unit in Simulator and try the Navionics card when the unit "simulates" GPS satellite connection (same deal - wait for the Chart Views to populate) ...

The same Navionics card works in both my HB's and both my Lowrance Touches ...
