    Default Need some help

I recently bought a new Hummingbird Helix5 unit. It is mounted on the front deck with a trolling motor transducer. Everytime I raise the trolling motor out of the water the unit powers off and you have to power it back up when you lower the trolling motor. Also, is there a way to fix the screen where it stays in the down image mode all the time. I went to Cabelas where I bought the unit and they were not much help. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

You have a bad connection, either where power wire is connected to main power lead or the plug that goes in back of finder. When lifting trolling motor the transducer cable is moving causing it to lose power. When you power down like that your going to lose setting. If you power down with power button it should come back up. Hope this helps.
