Thread: Core Units

I have been thinking about upgrading my electronics. I currently run 1198 and 1199. What are the new Huminbird core units. I know what I buy today will be outdated tomorrow but I want to last as long as possible.

New units that would be comparable to your current units would be the Helix 9, 10, or 12 Mega units. If you haven't seen any pics of the imaging from these units do an internet search. The new mega frequency gives absolutely unbelievable clarity. They also have a dedicated DI element in the transducer and chirp DI, SI, and 2D.

I have been talking to someone who has the 12 and he says it is amazing how well the fish show up on SI with these new units.

The new Solix unit would be comparable to the Onix unit.
