I have a spare-barely been wet--gt52hw that I am going to hang over the side and see how far away I must go to be rid of the rf. Then I will know what way(s) I may have open for install. I am only in a 1436 jon so my front deck is limited with a bow mount and ram mounted Garmin already there. TY

My unit is the second picture Rickie posted, i do not get any rf interference, I'm guessing both trolling motor and da ducer deployed there is about 12"-14" inches in separation with transducer about 6" higher than trolling motor. da ducer has worked out wonderful for me.

    good luck

Mine is going to be set about the same way. 12" to 14" away from the trolling motor and the trolling motor is set about 36" deep in the water as I measured it from the top of the trolling motor bracket and will measure depth again tomorrow and will test it tomorrow starting out with the transducers set about the same depth or a alittle higher a inch or two above the height of the motor blade. Dang wind past 2 days has finally laid down tonite but will be about 32 degrees outside in the morning at the crack of dawn with the temps finally hitting mid 60's hopefully. I am sure the fishing will be alittle slow and hit and miss in the morning but want to test and check everything out. Will post results tomorrow nite for you when I get in.

Thank you Rickie, Mike58 and cevans for the data. Very much what I needed. My situation is more similar to cevans in that I have a square bow jon. Only a 1436 that I put a plate on up front. I am most curious: 1). Will I need to go back along the gunwale to establish an aft separation of ducer to motor head? 2). If I stay on the front (preferred) will the beam be interrupted by the TM? I suppose vertical adjustment would/could relieve that. I'm running a 93sv Garmin and I don't know if that matters. Suspect all the beam widths and angles are a bit different. Not wanting to over-think it. Thanks so much. You guys are very helpful.

Today, it was windy as all get out, 34 degrees this morning when I launched after couple of days of storms, wind, cold, bright sun and fish on Lake Lemmon had lock jaw, but I did spend 7 hrs fishing caught 7 and only 2 were keepers with all released as I was also fishing muddy water after all the rain. Da ducer worked like a charm and very very happy with the 2 transducers on it. One the Hook 5, I ran sonar and chart, on the SI 7 ran the side scan and down scan and no interference from anything including trolling motor. If I ran sonar from the back of the boat as I have another 5 to drive with, the 2--5's had alittle interference with both set on 200..turn the back sonar off and none. Da Ducer Rocks!! Had the transducer and the trolling motor head about 18-20" deep in the water and no interference from either on front. And was fighting a 2' chop sometimes and da ducer took it like a champ. I like this setup for a Jon boat and really like the addition of Side Scan and picture I get on the lowrance SI 7. Was going to fish tomorrow, but they are calling for 10-15 mph winds gusting to 35 mph and don't think I want to fight it again. Will decide in the morning. Water temp started out at 55 this morning.

The SI xducer is oriented "behind" the shaft of da ducer apparatus® ... So it may not be blocked by the TM housing (depending on how for forward of the bow the TM is) ...

After having used the Da Ducer and both depth finders hooked up to the front of the boat with 3rd in the back while running big motor, I have to say, this is the best fishing setup I have ever used for long lining and trolling crank baits and I have been trolling for fish since mid 70's when I started on wall eyes and lake trout in Canada. I found myself looking at the side scan and down scan saying as I saw fish, guessing which rod the fish were going to hit on and 75% of the time was right spot on just like our trolling days on Lake Michigan for Salmon. Awesome setup with the transducers on the front of the boat. WTG Rickie! Love the Da Ducer.
