I have experience the same problem and discovered a connection problem with the TM plug. I have had to replace them twice. It also cause my TM to spin around and round.

I just bought a MK Terrova ipilot 55lb thrust. I got it all mounted, paired, calibrated, and set. The issue I am having is that when I start increasing the prop speed with the remote and it gets up to 5.5-7.5 the motor will shut off and the remote will read "motor not found". I also noticed that sometimes it will just reduce power and no remote buttons will work. I can decrease the speed and it will work again. Any help would be appreciated.

Also check battery connections.
Good luck.

I did use the old plug and receptacle from the previous trolling motor. When I think about it, sometimes I would have to push on that plug to get the tm to work.
The new hi-tech motors are more sensitive to voltage fluctuations and bad connections. My Terrova has rebelled at unclean voltage too.

If you need a new connector, the Battery Tender connector is a good one. It is an aircraft style connector with positive locking and easy removal. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Battery-T...Black/15779497
Well I changed out my tm plug and receptacle with no luck. My battery is fully charged. When I test it with the battery meter on the Terrova all four lights come on which indicates a good charge. I did read somewhere that someone stated the fuse for the tmrw should be a 60amp...mine is a 40 amp. Do you all think that could be a problem? And it does this also when I plug up the foot pedal as well.
When I get to speed 5 it will decrease power and no buttons will work. Tm won't turn at all...and then if I decrease the speed back down to about 4 it will start working again.
Sounds like your fuse may be the problem. If you turn the motor up it would be pulling more amperage, and may be limited by the fuse. According to the guide on Minnkota's website you should be running a 60A for the 55 @ 12V. Check the wire gauge also.
