    Default Hummingbird 998c HD SI

Just removed my Hummingbird 998c HD SI unit and upgraded to a Helix. This unit was purchased new in 2012 and is in great shape, I just updated software in it about a month ago. What would a used unit like this be worth?

I have had ,my 998 for about three years and paid $1000 for it new with lake card which did not include the two main lakes I fish at,,
One of them, Grenada Mississippi, is only the number 1 crappie lake in America. never got any side imaging that looked like the
dvd that came with it, You would have to go fishing with me, tune it for me and show me that it really worked before I would buy
any Hummingbird product. probably just my bad experience.

Lots of tutorials on You tube, that show you step by step set up and use of the Hummingbird units. They make good products and they have a good support network. I've always really liked mine and had no problems with them....except for learning how to use and that just takes time and experience. As far as the maps go, that is normal to have a lake missing. I buying an updated chip now because my old one did not have a lake I fished on it. The new mapping chips can be updated for free for a year now, which helps with that problem.
