    Default 24 volt battery question

Went out several days ago and noticed my trolling motor seemed weak from the start........ by mid day I had very little TM power left...... when I got home instead of plugging up my onboard charger I put a charger that shows volts / charge percentage etc etc....... one battery had about 50% charge left...... the other was single digit, virtually completely dead...... I'm guessing the one that was dead is likely my problem...... dead battery seemed to charged fast and is showing over 13 volts....... the other battery seemed to charge at normal rate and is also showing 13 volts......... so my thought is I have a bad battery ........ BUT........ is there anything I could be overlooking?

Could be several thing like low water if wet cell batteries. You can also go to places like AutoZone or Advance Auto and they will load test your battery to see if it has went bad.
Be safe and good luck fishing

Unplug the charger and give it 6 or 8 hours and then see what it measures.

James if one of them is bad.....you need to replace them both.......of not your other battery will pull the new one down to its level.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

Thanks ....... was not aware of that...... was planning on replacing them both any how due to the fact they are the same age and are at minimum 4 years old ( they were in the boat when I purchased it, so I'm not real sure how old they truly are...... they're is no marks / stamps / date month sticker anywhere )

You likely have 2 bad batteries. A fully charged battery should read at least 12.65 volts.
