I've been around since the little green box became available to every day fisherman. It use to be not how many you caught but did you get many bites. The electronics have made it possible for the average fisherman to be able to catch fish every time they are on the water. I don't leave the dock without my gps and finder on. It use to be that come June the bite for walleyes was winding down. Now with electronics the season is all year long. I can find the suspended fish and extend the season. Same with crappie, it use to be you fished the spawn than the fish disappeared, now we can follow the fish year round. Electronics certainly puts addedpressure on the fish population so that over harvest can destroy a population. It's up to the fisherman to manage their harvest.
