    Default Spoiled!!!!!

Since we started to using electronics, i find my self looking at others boats to see what kind of units they are using. I also seem to spend a lot of time checking what my sonar is telling me. I can't say I like to go on a boat without a sonar. I have learned a lot about the waters that I fish. Water temp, depth. drop offs. structure.and sometime fish. Am I a better fisherman???? Maybe not, but that could be the man holding the rod. Sometime I feel like my kids and their cell phone addiction. Fishing without electronics seems to be the old way of fishing. and that may not be bad. I guess I am hooked by new techonology..........but it is FUN..........good fishing everybody, keep learning......crappie1133

I've been around since the little green box became available to every day fisherman. It use to be not how many you caught but did you get many bites. The electronics have made it possible for the average fisherman to be able to catch fish every time they are on the water. I don't leave the dock without my gps and finder on. It use to be that come June the bite for walleyes was winding down. Now with electronics the season is all year long. I can find the suspended fish and extend the season. Same with crappie, it use to be you fished the spawn than the fish disappeared, now we can follow the fish year round. Electronics certainly puts addedpressure on the fish population so that over harvest can destroy a population. It's up to the fisherman to manage their harvest.

I like the map- GPS that is, otherwise I would still be out on the lake looking for my way home.
