Default NMEA 2000 network,,,MotorGuide Gateway Kit

Needing a little help. I have the lowrance hds 9 gen 2 touch, getting ready to get a Xi5 Wireless Trolling Motor this weekend (i hope). Question is anyone know what cables i need to hook all this up. I see all sorts of prices for the NMEA 2000 network,,,MotorGuide Gateway Kits. Amazon prime has what i would say is the best deal. But they all have different part numbers from site to site. I just don't want to buy extra pieces that I will never use. Any ideas? thanks all.

Copied from a post at BBC ...

A HDS Gen 3, HDS Carbon, HDS Gen 2 Touch, HDS Gen 2, and Elite-7/9/12TI's can use the Motor Guide XI-5. The only additional part would be a NMEA 2000 Network and the MotorGuide gateway. If you don't already have one NMEA starter kit is part number 124-69.

Let me know how it works out. I have an XI5 and plan on connecting a Lowrance Elite TI-9 I have seen a video of this connected and the smart steer was amazing, having the ability to scroll back through the screen, mark a spot, save s waypoint and hit go to, steers you to the spot.

Connected my touch 7 on console to Xi5 with NMEA kit and it works great. You may buy an extra backbone connector if future plans change ie- adding a point1 antenna etc.

Note: this diagram omits the power node in the NMEA backbone ... The power node is necessary ...
