Something simple I'm sure, but after hours of aggravation I'm stumped. How can I convert DMS to a format that Hummibird PC will accept?

Thanks, I've tried every converter Google has to offer, but none seem to work with the layout of Hummibird
dd mm mmm
For some reason on the LAT it has an extra field on the humminbird program that I'm lost on what to imput. No matter how I convert it, I'm one point short.
Try this converter ...
Coordinate Converter | Polar Geospatial Center
Important: In HBPC you must add a 0 (zero) before the degree value in the Longitude field - so 88° 14.468' would be entered as 088°14.468' ...
And also important : HBPC defaults the Longitude as "E" (East) - this must be changed in HBPC to "W" (West) for North America - so the above Longitude example should read W088°14.468' ...
The above converter values out to 5 places in the minutes (') = leave off the last 2 zeros when entering into HBPC ...
After you get the values entered into HBPC - highlight that specific Waypoint field and click the Google Earth icon at the top left to see if the Waypoint is actually where you expect it to be on Google Earth ...

See if this conversion site works : GPS Coordinate Converter, Maps and Info
I used it to convert the KDFWR coords over to the "GPS" coords that my Lowrance Elite 5DSI could translate. Their map coords are listed as DMS, and when I tried to manually enter them into my unit there was an extra number (DMS has 8 & GPS has 7). I thought that extra number was just a more accurate placing and dropped it when I put the first coords in. Then when I went to find it on the unit's map, it wasn't there. When I put the numbers (minus the last one) into a mapping site, my brushpile coords were on a sand dune in North Africa
Anyway, I found the above converter site and realized there was more than one "version" of GPS coords ... and the one marked "GPS" on the converter site was the only one that my unit "understood".
If that don't work, or none of your converter sites have worked, then maybe it isn't the GPS Coordinates that are the problem. Maybe it's the file type that isn't converting. Check out this page for more info on transferring files : https://www.google.com/webhp?sourcei...ert+gpx+to+hwr ... taking special notice of the use of GPSBabel.org (free use site) to convert those files.
I had that problem years ago. I think you might find the problem is in one of the letters. I don't remember the one it was. It was doing the same thing putting me in africa . Hope this helps.
