    When put on standby, does this also disable the transducer? I have mine mounted at the bow and have read it could damage the transducer when run out of water. If so, is there a way to disable the transducer without turning off the unit or putting on standby?

    It is my understanding that Standby turns off the screen and the transmitters ...

    Sonar Off in the Power Xpress Menu (and under the Sonar tab) turns off the transmitters only ...

    The noted discussion of a xducer being damaged by running out of the water applies to high wattage Airmar xducers that create heat and need the water as cooling ...
