My 998 came with an external GPS puck...does have an internal GPS that will work without the external puck

If your asking does it have internal GPS the answer is no. 899,999,1199 have internal but can use external puck.

yep I have one you have to use the external and best place to mount it is as close to being over the transducer as possible
