    Thank you kosmo for posting these articles. I've looked lived within a hour of eufaula all my life and never new the history of hummingbird. I new Tom was a innovator with lures but didn't know the electronic part. Thanks again!!!!

    Thanks...I like the part were Tom misspelled "hummingbird ".Also,this reminds me of a fishing show from awhile back.Tom Mann,brought one of those big Brown paper bags,from the grocery store that had his fishing stuff in it."look what everybody needs now to fish"

    I can remember back in the late 70's I had a Super60 the flashing light went out. Sent it back and I think back then the flat fee for repairs was 18.00. Boxed it up sent it out. Got it back in about a week. The only thing I got back that I sent down was the outside shell. They had removed old internals which were mounted to back of screen and installed a complete new screen and internals and a brand new transducer.
