Default Anyone know anything about Renegade Boat Transom Mount Electric Trolling motor?

Looking for a trolling motor for a small 2 man bass boat to fish local farm ponds. While searching for used "Name Brand" motors I came across these Renegade trolling motors. For the price of a used MinnKota, ect.., I could buy a new Renegade. I will not be using it more than a handful of times per year.

Anyone ever heard anything about them??

I would also buy a really good paddle to go with it. Minn Kota calls for 2 Lbs of thrust per 100 lbs of boat gear and people Endura C2 30 lbs thrust comes in at 109$ and 20$ rebate new. 45 Lb is 189$ plus rebate. If it is my only source of power it would be a good one. I baby my outboard but I put a lot of stress on my TM knowing that it can take it but if it can not the parts are easy to find and it easy to repair. Only info I could find on them is that they are not in the 2016 top 10.

I looked at the link provided - WOW - that looks like a Minn Kota! The transom clamp is exactly the same as my MK Endura. The prop and a few other features makes me think that who ever is doing the manufacturing for MK has started a side business of their own.

Isnt renegade walmart's store brand fishing "brand"? Probably a minn kota with cheaper "lesser quality" parts made to sell under the walmart brand. Probably flopped and were sold in bulk by walmart distribution and are now being resold. Happens with a lot of store branded items in the sporting goods industry. That was my job for a year, reselling store branded items that the company I worked for bought at wholesale auctions for literally a penny on the dollar. Most of our stuff came from big 5 and academy.

Worked at a Wal-Mart for 15 years and in this area, Louisville KY, never knew of them selling anything but Minn-Kota in the stores. Mostly the low end Endura's.
