The unit at the console is 18-24 inches from your face ...
The unit at the bow is 3-6ft away from your face ...
There is advantage in having the larger display at the bow ...

I currently have a hummingbird 899 up front and 999 at dash. I'm think of adding a helix 10 or 12 . Should I place the helix 12 at the seat and both others up front or vise versa your opinions gentlemen.

Rickie is pretty sharp, I would go with his idea.

I 100% agree with Rickie. I have a 998 mounted by my right knee in my stick steer. Wish I had the bigger screen. Sometimes find myself bending over to see detail. I would mount the 2 smaller units side by side on console and run the 800 on map and 900 on the sonar.

Personal preference. I like the bigger screen at the helm for good SI detail and structure hunting for those super deep 8 - 10 foot lakes I fish... If I had a 360, the answer may be different. All depends on the environment, application, and maximizing time on the water . Come to think of it, I probably don't need a bow unit. If I'm bass fishing, I'm beating the shoreline and it doesn't tell me anything, and for crappie fishing, I suppose it helps keeping on a particular contour when trolling, but it does look good lol

I agree with Tundah...I scout with my Helix 12 at dash then use the down imaging on the helix 10 at bow to keep me over the structure I want to jig. All personnel preference though...whatever floats your boat ...
