there was clearly a steep ledge that went from 27 ft straight to 42 ft. We wore out some big catfish in this spot. I wish I would've took a pic in structure scan also. I will say that it looked like rock on structure scan but I confirmed that wasn't the case with my 8 oz sinker. What do y'all think?

I'm referring to the dense bright red, green, and yellow returns that come up to the 25-30 ft mark in the 44 ft of water. I've returned to the same spot several times and it looks the same each time. As I move away from the drop, the dense returns taper off as you can see in one of the pics.

where is this and what did it feel like? Lake or River?? Could you tell there actually is a drop off that abrupt? Almost looks like it is a man made concrete or a place where they blasted a cut in rock like an old quarry before a river was impounded like a TVA lake and sediment filled it.

Tennessee River/ Guntersville. I confirmed it was a drop by counting down my 8 oz sinker in both depths. Also every time I moved into the ledge, I'd get hung up. It All felt like solid rock to me.

Could be a hole in the bottom of the sea so to speak. We have a hole nearby. Goes 12ft to 20ft. Justa deep hole formation with no slope whatsoever. God's little trick.
