    Don't understand why they would have to get permission from Navico ..... They already have it on the Onix.

    I WOULD LOVE FOR THEM TO MAKE A DUCER WITH EACH PART OF DUCER INDIVUAL WHERE I COULD PUT EACH SI ON EACH SIDE AND 2D AND DI IN MIDDLE,THAT WAY I COULD TILT EACH SI AS THE NEED OCCURED,OH JUST THINKING OUT LOUD AGAIN,WHO KNOWS MAY DO IT SOMEDAY,THERE I GO AGAIN,LOL

    Bob I think Johnson outdoors has the patent on side imaging and traditional sonar in one transducer.

    All the SI tranducers have traditional sonar and SI ..... It's the DI element that would be the question.......I suppose it's is possible Humminbird gave Navico some compensation when they did the all in one with the Onix....but I had never heard anything about it.

    It wouldn't surprise me, if the helix12 could run the Onix transducer

    I thought that the lowrance had to have the 2d separate from the si. I may be wrong but I remember reading about the lawsuit.

    You could be right, I'm not that up to speed on Lowrance. I thought Cane Pole was indicating Navico had a patent on the all in one transducer.
