I think you made the right choice and also, I think you'll get good customer service from Rhodan. I downloaded, there online manual. In the manual, they practically beg you to call them for any help or questions you have. (it even says, if you have problems finding a the appropriate plug for the power, to give them a call and they would be happy to help.)Also, they have a list and prices, of all the replacement parts, for there trolling motors

I have read all the stuff about rhodan both good and bad. The one I ordered is a 12 volt 55 lb thrust unit for my fisher 1710. If it doesnt work u will all read about it and I will burn up the tech support lines. The four pole motor is theory at least should provide more efficiency. I understand I am taking a chance. Yeah they are expensice but hell someone has to take a chance!
People gripe about the mk and mg also. I took a chance on the Onix with its software issues so taking another one on the rhodan. Wish me luck guys!

Good luck for sure!!!! Hope you love it because I have almost made my mind up to get an 80 lb thrust. They are coming out with 120 lb in 2 months per a conversation with Kyle yesterday.

My boat is aluminum and performs well with the the 55 lbs. I understand the tradeoffs. The way my boat is made there is not really space for the second battery either. Good luck also on ur choice!
