Good luck! One thing, does it stick out in front of the boat as far as it looks like it does? Just curious.
Me and the Rhodan are bonding really well. Much better spot lock than the the xi5(when the winds not blowing). Not sure yet, when winds blowing. Both do really well in the wind. Rhodan gear box is much quieter, but I think that the motor is a bit louder, not much tho.
I read that after lifting the motor u need to move the collar down before getting underway. There will a slight learning curve. Glad u like yours. This is an expensive experiment! But if is what I think then it will be worth it.

The owners manual, says a 50 amp receptacle is required. My boat only has a 30amp receptacle. I called Rhodan, they said that the 30 amp receptacle would be just fine as long g as there's a 50amp breaker. I have the 50 amp breaker, so alls well. (they were very helpful and explained the amp load required told me to call back with any other questions I had.
Yes technically usually a 20 percent safety rating is used. I have a 50 amp breaker on mine also.
