    While I would gladly help with a da'ducer apparatus® setup ... I also want to make sure you know the options for your Setup ...

    Here is the AS SIDB Y cable mentioned ...

    Here is the shoot thru for your application ...
    Humminbird | XP 9 20

    Here is info on installing a shoot thru in a fiberglass hull ...

    Rickie ; Thank you for taking the time to send the links. You sent everything I need. Y cable and puck looks to be the way to go for me. I could always add the apparatus later ; when I want SI at 48mph. Come to think of it that probable wouldn't be the safest option for me. I would be watching it instead of where I was going...

    Looks to me that the XP 9 20 works with legacy and not ONIX or HEIX. Am I correct? Just thinking about down the road...

    XP 9 20 works with Legacy and current core series units capable of the 83kHz/200kHz 2d ...

    ONIX can also use the XP 9 20 with the AD 1429 adapter cable ...

    Ahh , I see. Upgradeable ; kinda... Thank you and all those who replied to this post. My transducer and y cable should be here soon.
