I have navionics platinum plus. Everything on the chart works the same it just has an overlay of a more detailed map. I really like the photo overlay with platinum plus seeing the land marks line up really helps you get your bearings.
Hello,
Has anyone have this on their finder? Is it worth the money? I am trying to get a feel for how it works, how is it loaded on the finder, Can you still save way points with the navionics card loaded? Sorry...I have no idea how this product works.

Mapping is not loaded into the unit memory ... It is read directly from the card and overlayed onto the blank Chart backgroud ...(or "instead of" any factory preloaded mapping that some units have) ...
Waypoints are saved directly to the unit memory and displayed onto the Chart view ...regardless if there is a map card in the unit or not ...
If a map card is in the unit - the Waypoints are displayed onto the overlayed map data ...
If no map card is in the unit - the Waypoints are displayed onto the blank Chart background ...
