    Lightbulb 360 What's the Deal?

I just crawled back out of the archives researching the HB 360, since I really haven't seen any recent information lately; which leads me to ask "what's the deal"!!! I know some of you folks have them and use them from looking at the archives, but I also noticed 360's being put up for sale more than I would have anticipated. Which leads me to think they may not be all that.

I'm hoping for some of you folks who have them to way in with your opinion, basically with the technology that is out there right now and knowing now what you know after using a 360, if you had it to do over again would you purchase a HB 360?

Some had said in the archives they thought this would be huge to a spider rigger, but I've yet to see anyone speak to using it for that. I did notice in a different post "Rickie" that genec seems to be trying to go down this road just in a different way.

Go look at posts by Kosmo. He uses the heck out of his, and he is a master at getting good pics of fish in brush with his 360

The big mis-conception with 360 is when guys don't understand why 360 doesn't give "pretty" images like SI does and turns their opinion immediately against it that it's inferior ...

We have become spoiled with clear pretty SI images ...and it's difficult for some to realize that 360 is a completely different technology ... with completely different capabilities ... rendering completely different image data ...

The technology will advance ... But as of now ... The processor cannot "process out" the smearing effect of the rotating thin imaging beam data ...

There is valuable information to be gained from the 360 image ...information that cannot be gained from traditional 2d, DI or SI imaging ...

It's just not as pretty .... Yet ...

I would recommend the 360.i almost aways have it running. I'm running the 360 on an Onix10, but I was running it on an 998.I don't have a Helix, but I have been reading were there have been post about the 2d slowing down while the 360 is running. I had the same issue while running the 360 on the 998.If your wanting to run 2d/360 split screen, I would recommend the Onix. I believe the processor handles it better on the Onix.
I've got a transom mount 360, so in this video, you will notice that I've set a range ring to 20ft. You won't be able to see it in the video, but I can see my trolling motor, just past that ring you can see the brush pile that's slightly two the right of my trolling motor. https://youtu.be/pnFA76tSGFQ

I use my 360 95% of the time I have my 1199 split between the lakemaster man and the 360. I use my 12 touch for DI and SI. The 360 shows up bait and many other things. It takes a while to get used to it.

I never liked the "look" of the returns, if HB would produce one with longer crystals in the pod (yes a BIGGER pod) then I would probably consider one myself.
