I liked the eagle series .
I have 3 different fish finders & dont really know that much about them except that they are all older models.
just wondering if 1 is better than the rest for helping me get onto the fish.
#1 Lowrance X85 (I will need the mounting bracket)
#2 Egale Cuda 242
#3 Bottom Line species select EZ4400
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. & No, I don't have the $$$ for a newer one, so thats not a realistic an option.

X85 was a top of the line in it's time.
IIRC, the Eagle and the Lowrance are basically the same thing under a different name(s), model #'s varied but looked very similar.
GO BIG ORANGE !
I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.
I would not select the Bottomline. While I have one of the Tournament Models that still works I sure would not pay money for one. If you crunch the transducer you are done as there is no replacing it. I have a Lowrance X102 on the front of my boat and it works well. And parts (like the bracket) are still available or can be easily cobbed together. I am not familiar with the Eagle though I think they are very similar to the Lowrances.

Old enough to know better and way too old to care!
I agree the eagle and Lowrance are about the same. I wouldn't fool with the bottom line.
The Lowrance X85 has 240 pixel V x 240 pixel H and the Eagle Cuda 242 has 240 pixel V X 160 pixel H. What I have read is the more pixels the better the picture on your sonar. So Lowrance unit should be the best of the three.
Be safe and good luck fishing
