Default Add GPS location to Helix 5

Helix 5 si/gps... I have a GPS location to a brush pile I am wanting to fish. Is there a way to add the gps info to the unit before I go look for it and save it as a way point? I have googled it,and can not find my answer. Thank for any replies.

If you know the coordinates, you should be able to punch them in manually. Your unit should recognize them, but if it doesn't ... you can put those coordinate numbers on here : GPS Coordinate Converter, Maps and Info and it will convert them to other formats, one of which will work.

I had to do that on my Lowrance Elite 5DSI unit. The GPS coords that our F&W website has, for the cover they've dropped in our lakes, were not recognized by my unit. I put them in the converter and then used the "GPS" format numbers to manually punch in the waypoints. Went to the lake and found the cover right where the waypoint icon said they'd be !!

Thanks for the reply, I guess what I was trying to say is how do I or where do I. I can't seem to find the right screen to add the coords to. If even possible. I have looked and can not find out where to enter them. The converter will help me a lot. Sometimes I get coords in decimal. My helix shows degrees, minutes, seconds. Now I have a way to convert them. Thanks

Not sure how a Hbird works. I pull up the coordinate screen just like I was adding a waypoint on the water ... then use the "arrow" button to highlight the coordinates already showing and then change the numbers to the new coords & save them. Your HB "might" work the same way

Or you might wait until later tonight or tomorrow ... and see if any of the HB Guru's can give you a step by step walkthrough.

On my H'birds, I put a cursor on my map screen and then cursor to the right coords., then mark it as a waypoint
