    Default Fish Finder Wiring

Wiring my new boat. I have 2 fish finders, 1 elite 7 chirp, 1 elite 7x. I want to run both at the helm at times, move one to the front at times, move one to the back at times. My question is that's 4 power cords, Could I run lets say 1 pair of 10 gauge wire and drops for all 4 power cords or should I run 4 separate pairs of wires?

Any connection added to the wire run creates voltage drop ... Along with more places for connection/corrosion issues ...

Could you get away with it? ...Probably ...

Should you? ... Wire is not that expensive ...

You can install one of these as close to the battery as possible ...(ABYC recommends within 7" of the battery to protect the wiring circuit ...but as close as possible) ...

You would need each wire fused anyway ...

Then use drops from the fuse block to each unit ...
