Transdsucer problem- comments please
Went today and while using my depth finder on the back, it was working fine. About an hour of fishing and screen goes blank and flashes 00. I changed to the front transducer and it worked fine. I used the front for about 2 hours and flipped back to the back and it worked again for about an hour and everything goes blank and will not give depth readings. This transducer is the standard hst-wsbl and is about 6 years old or older. Do you think it is getting hot and not working? I have a new HDI 83/200-455/800 I could change out and would have fairly new transducers at each end, Any ideas.....thanks everyone.... always good to check with the choir when you have a problem....thanks again....crappie1133

If you have a 2nd unit on the boat ...you can disconnect the network and connect the 2nd head unit to the suspect xducer for testing ...
