    Prayer Request At Lass

    Finally,
I'm sending in my Garmin 840 xs. We have completely exhausted every update and ducer change.
Now the fine folks at Garmon are ready to accept the fact that is may not be working perfectly.
Note: They will not pay return shipping. I'm not interested in paying 100+ to ship it back with max insurance. Not sure what I'll do but tomorrow, it's heading to Kansas for some well deserved evaluation.
How about just sending my money back and we'll forget the whole thing!

Is there a thread about your issues? I have a fellow that I am trying to help with his 840. The 2d is OK but the Di is horrible. Brush that shows every limb on my Onix just shows a blob on his. Garmin isn't being much help so far.......

I love some of the images I have seen of the garmin units. But every company that has the same technology is similarly priced. With that being said, them things cost too much money to not buy the BEST with the BEST REVIEWS. Be hard not to go with Humminbird or lowrance. Humminbird being my personal preference, but just as many people like lowrance. Im sorry your having troubles buddy. hopefully they will take care of you.

    Brett

I install as a side job and this is a friend of a customer. I am just trying to help him as his 840 is no where near what I think it should be for the cost. It's been a month since I have talked to him but I am always checking forums for a thread on the 840. I thought there may have been an ongoing thread in the past.

    Thanks for asking though.....
