I have My business, home and vehicals through them and havent had a complaints but it never hurts to shop.
I have Progressive, a few years back when my carport collapsed from heavy snow load on my Ranger it did about $4,600 in damages. At the time I had only been with them for about a year maybe two; the adjuster came out and wrote a check on the spot, no hassles. So I've stuck with them when I moved to the pontoon, they have a plan where you can buy whatever amount of coverage you want, regardless of year, make, model. After all you're paying the additional premium for that particular $$$ amount of coverage and in most cases the Ins. companyName: DSCF2126.jpg

Wow, thats ugly, any recourse with the manufacter of the structure that collapsed? it sounds like Progressive has a declared value option for boats, I know back in My motorcycle days, the companys offered declared value insurance. I will have to do some shopping around, I just worry that if My engine would happen to blow, it may cost as much as the boat to replace it or rebuild it.

Yes "Declared Value" I think that's what they called it. Tom - as for "(any recourse with the manufacturer of the structure that collapsed)" no, most of those pic's were taken a few days after the storm so they don't show the actual depth of the snow. It got upwards of 3 1/2 ft on top of the carport mainly do to the wind drifting around the end of the house; the pic below is after the collapse and another couple feet piled on. Just one of those weird weather deals for us with the wind pushing it just right to pile up overnight, the actual snow fall was only 10 to 12 inches, luckily the van saved it from being totaled.

That was pretty awesome! (The pike attack). the Carport.. not so much

I have liberty mutual but carry another rider from Bluewater.
Bluewater has the best bang for the buck in my opinion but I am not sure if it is only offered on new boats or all boats.

Blue water covers my boat, motor and trailer. I have a flat, they send a guy, I need a tow, they send a guy. It covers everything you can think of. If my motor goes boom, I pay a $25.00 deductible.
For my electronics, I have another package through bluewater called the "sportsman pack". TM goes bad, fish finder goes bad, livewell takes a crap, $25.00 and I get a new one.

Obviously, Liberty mutual would be the ones covering something like the above happening however the bluewater covers everything related to that boat being on the water or in tow.

That's probably the neatest thing that I've ever seen. Lol, you've got your electronics dialed in to where you can watch fish attack your bait... I'm still trying to figure out how to clear up my di/si shots. Lol.
You think I like to duck hunt? I love to crappie fish!
