    I can run a big loop 1/2 way around the boat
    will get it out on the water 1st to see what it's like now

    Any part of the TM voltage current path from the battery thru the boat's hidden wiring ... And all the way from the boat's TM plug to the armature/windings in the motor housing is suspect ...

    RFI/EFI can be radiated outward from anywhere along this voltage current path ...

    That's why I always use twisted pair wire for power wiring ..... or make my own. Twisting the wire REALLY helps reduce the radiated interference.

    But it's too late in the case, correct?
    The twisting needs to be in the cable.

    That is why, back in the dark ages of home phones with a wire attached, the cable serving the house was a "twisted pair".

    That old 22/4 station wire would cross talk and pick up all kind of interference. Oh the old days.

    The point is to know where the entire circuit is feeding power from the TM batteries to the TM itself ...

    And keep the electronics cables away from it ...(if at all possible) ...
