Default problems saving way points on my humminbird units

I getting ready to download the new software for my 798. When i go to save my way points onto a scan disk card i am not finding "EXPORT NAV DATA" as one of my choices in my navigation menu. I tried the cards in my 998 and i have the same results. Im hoping it is the cards.. one is a 16 gb scandisk hc card and the other is pny 4 gb premium video sdhc card. Any thoughts or suggestions on what i should do.? Normally i use a 2gb scandisk card and have no problems but i have software on them and dont want to erase them....

can you save a snapshot to the cards while inserted in the head unit? that will tell you right away if they're readable. If not, you might have to reformat the card on the computer then dump the software back on it (them)

Check card first to see if they are locked. Hopefully Rickie will see this and be able to help with finding the export function.

    bowhunter1,
I don’t think that the problem is with the memory cards you are using. It sounds to me like you are still looking for the Export All Nav Data menu that was used in older software versions. Try the following button presses and see if it gets your waypoints onto the memory cards for you:

    MENU
    MENU
Go to the Nav menu tab > Waypoints, Routes, Tracks menu
    Options
    Select All and…
    Export.
