    Default Humminbird 586c issue

I have a Humminbird 586c HD unit at the bow. I moved it there when I got my Helix 5. I have used it at the bow now for over a month without any issues. Sunday it started showing a thick green line at the 2.5 ft depth range. The line resembles surface clutter but it is at the 2.5 depth range no matter how deep I am. I have the surface cluuter turned all the way down and I never have any surface clutter on my screen(just my preference). Does anyone know what this could be. Thanks in advance.

It could be that the transducer is starting to go bad. Try testing it on another Humminbird transducer, like possibly the one you got with your HELIX 5 unit (if it is not the HELIX 4 DI or HELIX 5 DI-GPS model) and see if it does the same thing.
