Just another power cord. That's going to a lot to haul around on the ice. Why not just use a hand held.

Why not just use the 788 instead of the flasher? It works better...I imagine you already have your waypoints stored on the HB unit, might as well just ice fish with it.

A power cord and spare battery will get the job done

    Also will need a transducer.

You can ice fish with the skimmer...I've been doing it for 3-4 years now with 0 problems.

I agree with matzilla – just use the 788ci HD unit for ice fishing. It has an RTS Window (vertical flasher), a Circular Flasher View and even an Ice Fishing Mode.

I like the dualbeam transducer rigging for ice fishing matzilla!

    Thanks Greg!

    here is the flasher view

    graph view with wide rts

The graph view is more flexible with zoom and depth range settings on most units. Lately I've been running the 455/200khz split screen. You might be surprised at how a graph can give you a better idea of what's going on beneath the ice vs a traditional flasher.

here is how I rigged up a swing arm to mount the helix 5 on my customized Frabill Recon

    Works pretty well
