    Looks like a versatile sonar.

Looks like this kid will have to wait a long, long time before he could afford anything like that.....head unit over $2000? and $1500 for each transducer? Not happening here

Looks good to me but very scant info on how to connect to use. Sent question to Garmin and even the person who answered was not sure. From what I have been able to find out so far. It appears one connection is for power and the other is an ethernet connection. Which should allow plugging directly into compatible unit or a GVC 10 .

This is only assumption from what I was able to on some sites description of the panoptix transducers.

Looks really cool but might be just over the edge of too much. I use RTS and flasher mode but only when verticle jigging in winter when fishing is slow. It's mostly used to convince me that there is something alive down there when all indications are that every fish is buried in the mud. I can't imagine a time when fishing structure by casting that I would want to have my eyes looking down at a screen rather than being in tune with my rod, reel and presentation. Even when using RTS for verticle jigging there is a disconnect that I'm willing to tolerate when alone on a cold river or lake. Don't get me wrong, it's really awesome tech that I would love to play with but think I would start to get annoyed with it just like I do with my iPhone.

I really enjoyed the comparison when they were trolling parallel to the steep dropoff and I could watch the changes on both screens, but I want to see both of those screens go over some trees, boulders, and especially fish to see the interpretation on screen
