GOOOOOOOD!!!
I will be testing in the morning & I have a brand new Class 10 KIngston 8GB card in slot one....
Just took a look at the software available and see there is a 7.090 for the 998, but the 798 is still at 6.740. Will this cause a problem with the 2 units networked?

I guess I better load 998cSI_v7_090 then!
OK. Are we judging 83 kHz in the new release of software by viewing videos in Simulator mode or from actual images taken while on the lake?
The only reason I'm still on 6.49 on both of my 998s is because of the problems with 83 kHz in the latest versions. I use 83/200 religiously while vertical jigging with spoon and dropshot when the fish go deep. If the "pixelation" problem has been resolved with 7.09, then I may give it a try. If not, I'll stick with 6.49.
Brown trout,my pictures came from the 7.080 software.now three days later theres 7.090 software out.ill load it today and give it a try
kosmo ...can you perform the test I outlined before...but with one different setting...??
1st test...
*Put the "Beam Select" on 83kHz...
*Put the "Imaging Frequency" on 455kHz...
*Get a clean straight full screen history in SI....(your normal scanning boat speed and Chart Speed)...
*Open a zoom box on the vertical line where the water column meets the bottom detail...
*Zoom all the way in on this vertical line...
*Take a screenshot...
*Post the screenshot...
2nd test....
*Put the "Beam Select" on 83kHz...
*Put the unit on 800kHz....
*Get a clean straight full screen history in SI....(your normal scanning boat speed and Chart Speed)...
*Open a zoom box on the vertical line where the water column meets the bottom detail...
*Zoom all the way in on this vertical line...
*Take a screenshot...
*Post the screenshot..
