    Default New 7 Elite thread

I fish in lakes off the Al river Tensaw river ect just north of Mobile. I bought the 7 elite mounted the sonar on the transom. The electrical is tied with the 12volt hookup that feed the trolling moter......interference like crazy....can u help with that?. Also I used the shallow water set up rookie or no expierence . I fish in normally 12 ft or less unclear water most of the time....settings please!!! I hope I did not waist my money. the reason I bought this was to see the fish and learn of course ...

Electronics should never be connected to the trolling motor battery.

Change the power connection and you will be pleased, those units are pretty darn good straight out of the box.

I bought a small, seperate battery for the ff. works very well. about the size of a small , chunky book.
    I've never drained it.

    Hey Pat,
i fish out of a Gheenoe Classic. I bought an 8 ah battery from Cabelas and use it to power my Elite 5. I have used it all day with no problems. I put the battery in a small waterproof box I got at Wally World and use a quick disconnect to hook it up to a charger. I'll post a picture if it would help.
