    Default Water temp problems

I've got my HDS 5 Gen 1 Hooked to my I Piolot PD V2 US2 and hooked via ethernet to Structure scan.
I have no water temp reading.
    Any ideas?

I went to the menu/ page and blued the little ball to include water temp.
I guess I'm not sure what transducer I should be using.

Do both transducers have "water temp" capability ?? If so, could they be competing with or nullifying each other out ?? Sorry, I'm just guessing, as I have no knowledge of the HDS system.
Have you tried disconnecting one of the transducers, from the unit ... to see if water temps display ?? You might try that & see if one or the other transducer connections doesn't show water temp .... and/or if having both connected causes the water temp to not display.

I don't know of anyone that has that same system setup, that might have come across that problem (or figured out how to solve it). Have you tried contacting Lowrance ?? Or maybe you could PM this guy .... http://www.crappie.com/crappie/membe...+lowrance.html

I thought I had disconnected the SS and just used the US 2 to no avail.

Yes, there is a temp module in the transducer. I believe it's working but 'i've believed before'.

It's a new Minn Kota and a older HDS with a new Structure Scan. Who to call.

And that's why I come to everyone here. Best site on the net barr none!

I think I'd give Jason Gilstrap a hollar (PM him). And if he has no fixes ... post your question on the Main Forum, and see if you get more responses.

Are you saying it just reads 0 or its not on the screen at all. If its not on the screen at all then you have to go into programming and add it. FYI when they went from US-1 to US-2 one of the main features they added was water temp.

Yes, wher it says watertemp on the screen there are three lines where the numbers should be.

    Thanks
