No, the 598ci HD Si model unit (and any 500 series Humminbird unit) cannot be connected to the i-Pilot Link accessory. You will have to look at a 700, 800, 900 or 1100 series unit to be able to do this.

Thank you for your reply. Why would I want to link the two together?

If the TM has the US2 feature, it just eliminates you having to mount the transducer to the bottom of the motor behind the prop as the US2 feature has a compatible transducer "inside" the motor housing, which makes it a bit safer if your style of fishing involves bouncing off rocks/stumps alot. Only 2d sonar works with this feature IIRC.

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

I assume you're talking about the new Ipilot link system. From what I understand, it allows you to follow contours of the lake to only one specific lake map product. I for one am not interested.

I believe there are other features too. I think you can store recorded tracks on your GPS. So you aren't limited to just the number the I-pilot itself can store. Probably other stuff too.
