Default Targeting suspended crappies over the biomass with the Humminbird 597ci

There is still plenty of ice covering our lakes up here in the north country, and the late ice period marks one of the most consistent times to target slab crappies during the year. One of my favorite patterns is to target suspended fish over deep basins as the fish feed on "biomass", an incredible volume of aquatic insects and larvae emerging from the sediments. This article contains a bunch of tips that will help you target these biomass crappies using the Humminbird 597ci:

Thanks for sharing, Jason. I do this same type of fishing over brush. Love to see the fish come up after the jig.
