*455kHz if you want to see (and mark with waypoint) targets all the way to the edge of the display...or if you want to see suspended fish out to the sides over the bottom ...(overall image will be fuzzier)
*800kHz to see more detail of targets closer to the boat ...(overall image will be crisper but darker out to the sides of the display)...
*SI Range to 50-70ft left and right...(farther when looking for new structure using 455kHz - lesser when looking for detail closer to the boat with 800kHz)...
*Chart speed to match boat speed....
*Palette color is variable depending on the lighting conditions for the day...(freeze the screen with the 4way cursor and cycle thru the colors to see which is better for that specific time of day)...
*SI Enhance overlayed on the SI image to allow instant access to the most used SI settings...
*SI Sensitivity up or down depending on the brightness of the image - sensitivity up brightens...sensitivity down darkens the image...(change this sensitivity setting often to compensate for harder/softer bottom and deeper/shallower water)...
*SI Contrast 10-12...
*SI Sharpness Off ...(unless looking specifically for fish - higher sharpness will make fish stand out against bottom Pallete color...but will also make image grainy looking)...
