    Default Heading sensor GPS antennas

Here's an interesting write up by John Easton (Fishton) that gives some good insight to using a heading sensor GPS antenna...

He is speaking particularly about the Point 1...but a lot of the info can be used cross-brand...

    Point-1 Tip

I can see it now. Something like a heads up display in a car. A beam of light encircling your boat projecting compass readings on the water so you know what way to cast. Well I guess if you are blind, (nope that doesn't work cause you couldn't see the screen), or completely enveloped in fog, a heading sensor might be of help. I've pretty much been able to tell which way the bow is pointing when my eyes are open, and also able to tell my direction of travel under .5 MPH. Well, I take that back, a few times when returning from liberty in the Navy, I could have been a might confused! I just can't see this type technology taking the place of a simple marker buoy.
