Does this mean HB says the HS is supposed to have more accurate "GPS speed" ... or more accurate waypoint marking ability... Or maybe both..??

After having the ability to compare the 3 separate HB antennas in the same tests with the same software ...I will have to agree Jim...

A "High Accuracy" HA with the added "Heading Sensor" HS would be the perfect GPS antenna for "slow trolling" (and other applications)...

Did you notice if with the gps-hs the waas sats 46,48,51 ever turned black. They never do on my 998 with 6.6

Also, the sky view is very slow to populate and twitchy as sat status changes.

No.. I did not check the actual satellites tracked Jim...

I noted the HDOP and EPE for comparison of each antenna ...and the AS GR50 was about the same as the AS GPS HS...

The HDOP and EPE for the AS GRHA was consistantly lower...

My GPS-HS gets consistently lower HDOP an EPE (as low as .7, as low as 1') then my GR 50. But the WAAS sats never turn black on the HS.

If the GPS Diagnostic View is showing “Enhanced” in the Fix Type; than the GPS Receiver it is using the correction signals from the WAAS satellites.
If the WAAS satellites are shown as black; that means that it is also using the signals from the WAAS satellites to determine its position. It only does this if it will result in a more accurate position – it does not always calculate out this way.
So, if the WAAS satellites are shown as gray (as some have posted); that means that although the GPS Receiver is able to receive a signal from the WAAS satellites, it is not actively using that signal to determine its position as it would be less accurate to do so.

Yes those are the SV numbers for the WAAS satellites.
I thought that 48 was still out of service though. Did they regain control of it?

Ricky, can you perform a test like this also with your 2 pucks and record it. I'd love to get a Garmin right now, you don't appear to need a HS at all with their stock 32 channel 10Hz refresh. When I get out again, I'll try to capture the same between the stock and LGC-4000.
