gps not working

Ok first i thought i had the wrong card,but called lowerance and find out the micro card is within the bigger card--(that problem solved). So excited to use my gps i put it in and head to the lake( Which is listed as one of the lakes on the card) get there put boat in and head to favorite brush pile to start entering my first way point and NOTHING!!! All that comes up is the little triangle in the middle of Illinois on a map of the USA? Somebody please help me i'am gps DUMB!!!! My lowerancce is a Elite 5 dsi with gps ( I do know that LOL)

probably need to "zoom" in on the screen, should see an option somewhere on the screen.
