Please have a closer look - there is no any signs that this is a DI on its body. Yes, the price is much lower, but the initial price still was for regular 2D sonar. If they installed DI transducer, the angles should be 16 and 25 degrees, not 20 and 60.

That picture is wrong. On mine where it says 587ci HD below it it says down imaging instead of fishfinder. I know what I got and I know its a good deal. The box is the regular 587 box and it has a sticker onh it that says free down imaging. I would take a picture but I am too lazy.

I am sorry, I missed this thread I am dreaming of buying Humminbird 385 ci DI, 3.5 ", $499, but that one looks much better

I have just checked Amazon ( I bought my 570 DI in it) also sell 587 DI ($449). They mentioned about 16 and 25 degrees, but regarding SD card they are talking about map records only,( sonar records?). May be this is just a poor description.

Always be wary of retailers descriptions...

Retailers do not always use correct info/pictures for the item...

Retailers definitely do not copy HB specs word for word...

Try to talk to a human at the place you are looking to buy from and have them read the specs right off the box...

I looked through the Manual for 587ci HD, and it has ability to make sonar recordings and keep them on SD card. I hope that this option was not removed from 587ci HD DI
