    i'm in the market for SI/DI can anyone tell me which has less equipment to buy i heard Lowrance will run alot more money advice please .

    Take your pick. You can view the SS on multiple units with Lowrance. Price pretty well comes out a wash so get what you like. I'd recommend you see the new views on the Lowrance Gen 2 before making a decision.

    I use a hummingbird 150 single cone unit. It amazes me when before all this expensive technology came out people were still catching and finding fish. To me it's just a fancy money market!

    2d will show structure, fish, and baitfish under the boat...

    DI will show a picture like image of structure, fish, and baitfish under the boat, and out to the sides a few feet..

    SI will show a picture like image of structure, fish, and baitfish under the boat, out to sides 100+ ft, and which side of the boat...

    SI is invaluable for finding "new unknown" structure...
