I have one of these units and love it.My question is can the scroll or chart speed be adjusted? Thats the only problem i have with it.Its to slow and i cant figure out if its adjustable
There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.

No ... I don't believe it is adjustable.

You sure won't figure it out by reading the user's manual.

New waypoint Icon should appear at those coords

I tried it on the Emulator & it worked fine. But, there are prompts that come up, explaining each step, on the Emulator ... not so sure that they come up on the unit. I'll check & see if they do, and get back to ya'll with whatever I find out.

    Thumbs up Allllrighty then .....

Ok ... I followed my own directions, using my unit, and it put the icon exactly where it should. The pop-up prompts did come on the unit screen, just like in the Emulator program on my computer. :Hands Clapping

The "Position Aquired" message took <2mins to come on ... which I thought was pretty good, seeing as how I was in my apt. while running the unit !!

Success! As I mentioned earlier I loaded 4 usr files in it and it took all 4. I then copied it back to the card and as I suspected it created 1 new file. However it wasn't any good to me because the 4 files had waypoints numbered the same and I guess it just kept the last one it got or none. Anyway I fired up an old computer with Map Create on it and was able to make 1 file out of all 4. Fortunately there is a selection in the E-5 to delete all waypoints. I did this and loaded the new file so I now have all 400+ waypoints on it and in one file. I just have to remember to back it up once in a while so I don't loose them all if the unit ever crashes.

    Default A couple of pics

I got my Elite 5 dsi last summer and I really like it compared to my old eagle that didnt ever tell me the truth. ( I think it hated me as much as I hated it!). I have an image that I took with my cell that shows a couple of trees and what I am assuming is a brush pile... what do u guys think it is a brush pile or a school of fish? I tried a few days later to go over that spot again but could not find anything that looked similar. I have another picture that i took, but forgot to turn the flash off but you can still see the trees and get the idea of the picture. It is just a blurry picture not a blurry fishfinder. I did not change any of the settings they are what came as a default. I think it looks pretty good! By the way thanks to all of you guys this thread is awesome!!!
