I didn't get anything that look even close to your picture. Thats why it's in a box in the garage.

I agree, that's why I sold mine. It looks like the photos that lowrance sent FAADAN are screen shots taken directly from a unit, not photos of the image on a unit. Notice how all of them are highlighted in orange like a HDS will do on a split screen. I almost positive mine (DSI) wouldn't take a screen shot. I've said all along that lowrance mis-lead us with the images they published.

There is no way to take a screen shot on the DSI unit. If these were taken from an actual ELITE 5 DSI they had some other equipment hooked up to it to get the shots.

    Great discussion.

I installed my DSI over the weekend and have not had a chance to take it on the water yet. However, I noticed that once I installed the unit on the provided mount, it seems kinda loose. It has a little bit of wiggle to it. But way more wiggle them my old Eagle units. Do you guys leave it on the mouth when you run the boat or tow it down the road? I am worried it might fly off pretty easily.

I have my transducer mounted on the trolling motor with the Lowrance TM mount. It is tight against the motor.

I was referring to the actually Unit itself. I have the unit on the original mount at the font my of my boat. I'll post some pics...

I purchased the little plastic mount, and that was nice. The 'ducer looks night and sleek along the TM. We'll have to wait and see what the interference looks like...

I just wanted to attach some pics to go with my story. The 'ducer is fine. The unit, as pictured, just seems too loose.

The Head should pug tightly into the mount. It is even difficult to pull it from the mount when you have to push down on the release and pull up on the unit at the same time. I put mine on a ram mount that I remove from the boat with the unit because I didn't want to drop it in the water when I pulled it off.
